argylito was a research project and exhibition carried out in Little Haiti, Miami as part of the Fountainhead Residency in 2019.
argylito is the fourth action of the Litofagos project. This stage is the confluence of two years of work and research about Haitian clay ingestion. It was structured around a collective action – in which Haitian Clay was ingested in Little Haiti, an exhibition and a publication.
The project proposed a reflection and an activation of clay ingestion. The exhibition space acted as the backdrop against which the collective action took place. It worked as an ecosystem formed by a series of pieces; some activated in the collective action and others just present. Those pieces aimed to condense and/or catalyse thought and action. The publication contained all the research and documentation of the project.
